Research Topic

If you are interested in writing a thesis in Finance and Accounting, please send us your preference list, indicating your preferred research area. You can use the description of our main research areas for developing own research ideas as a starting point. We also help you in specifying topics – just let us know if you need an appointment for discussion! We will try to find a topic that fits your interests at its best! Alternatively, we occasionally post current topics of bachelor’s and master’s theses on the webpage – just drop by from time to time! All theses can be written in English or German, unless otherwise stated or discussed.

If your intention is to write your thesis in cooperation with an industry partner, please inform us as soon as possible. From case to case, you will be asked to hand in a short thesis proposal. This proposal should (at least) (i) define the research question, (ii) indicate the data and methodology to be used, (iii) discuss the related literature, and (iv) contain all relevant contact data of the industry partner.
